We will start from the pier of the Negro Lake inside our property. For 15 minutes we will be sailing in one of the purest waters in the world, appreciating the imposing forests around us.

We are disembarking on a solitary beach that is only visited when doing the excursion. At this moment we will start walking along trails and crossing the ancient native flora that borders the path.  This varies depending on the season of the year, orchids, capachitos, ciruelillo, chilco, little star, among others.

We will be able to collect edible Patagonian fruits, such as “calafate, chaura, and murtilla” and learn about some lichens and fungi, old man`s beard, Chinese lantern, compact, indian bread, dihueñe”.

Also, we can also see a variety of birds, such as woodpeckers, “bandurrias, canquenes, pythians, thrushes, caranchos and more.

During the walking, the slope is gentle, bordering pristine wetlands and solitary landscapes, that will change as we leave the forest where we will find a rockier place covered in moraine.

From the top of the mountain, after 2 hours walking, we will have a privileged view of the turquoise waters of lake “Bertrand” and its “Soto-Huemul and Fuentes” glaciers, which are located in the imposing and long “Cordon Contreras”.

From the snowdrifts we will appreciate the waterfalls formed by the melting ice.  This scenery will give us an impressive and unique sound effect.
